This is Why Your Affiliate Market Efforts are Tanking
Affiliate marketing is one of those ‘side hustles’ that many are touting as a ‘get rich quick’ endeavour. But you have to know that it’s anything BUT that.
I’ve been in the ‘online marketing game’ long enough to know that ANY time someone in this environment says “it’s easy”, you should turn and run.
Affiliate marketing is no different.
When it comes to listening to those affiliate marketing ‘gurus’, I say “do as they DO. Not as they SAY.”
Does that make sense?
Let me elaborate; Let’s use TikTok affiliate marketers as an example. There are more than a few peddling a certain MRR course right now.
What’s “MRR” you ask?
MRR is Master Resell Rights, and Master Resell Rights are a ‘feature’ that come with many PLR products.
PLR content is when you purchase an eBook (for example), that someone else wrote, and you can resell to any and everyone who wants it as if you wrote it yourself.
Cool, right?
Well…maybe not so much.
Once you read through your PLR purchase, you’ll likely find that it’s usually regurgitated garbage that you can find on the simplest of websites. Many of these products read as if a three year old wrote them.
And that’s not an understatement.
In addition, most of these so-called products are maybe 30 pages long.
Anyway…I digress.
This course about Master Resell Rights is the latest ‘thing’ that many TikTok affiliate marketers are pushing. When I see one of these videos touting how much money any of these marketers has made, I immediately head for the comment section where I find the same old comments.
“How are you making so much money?”
“Tell us how you did this!”
And the reply from the creator is ALWAYS the same; “Go to my Stan Store…”, where the commenters toodle doo and proceed to purchase whatever hyper inflated product the affiliate is selling.
And most people still haven’t figured it out!
I always think to myself “SHE’S LITERALLY SHOWING YOU WHAT SHE’S DOING TO MAKE ALL THAT MONEY!!!”
That said, in a nutshell, your affiliate marketing efforts are tanking because you’re doing EXACTLY what the guru’s want and are telling you to do. You’re buying into the hype, and because you’re so eager to succeed with this vehicle, you’re helping them expand their wallets.
When you bump into an affiliate marketer online, and this person is telling you how ‘easy’ it is to succeed with affiliate marketing, I want you to pay attention to a few things;
- What platform are you watching/listening to them on?
- What product are they talking about/trying to push/sell?
- How are they selling it? By that I mean, are they directing you to their Stan store? Are you purchasing on a platform like Gumroad? Do they have their own website?
- Is this their own product, or are they an affiliate of the product that they’re selling?
Here are the answers to the above questions;
- Whatever platform you’re watching them on, is the platform that you should also be using. Sign up for an account of your own on that platform.
- Do a Google search for whatever product they’re trying to sell. Find the website, then scroll to the bottom and look for the words “affiliates” or “Partners”. Sign up for whichever you find.
- How are they selling it? Pay attention to where you’re directed to go to purchase their product. Is it Gumroad? Is it on their Stan store? Wherever you’re directed to go to purchase this affiliate product, sign up for your own account. If they have their own website, either get a site of your own, or use Stan Store, or Gumroad to host your product.
- When you Google the product that the affiliate is selling, you’ll know whether or not the product is theirs, or someone else’s. Regardless, you’re already signed up to sell the same product, so….
It’s like some kind of mind bending trick. They make you think they’re doing something BESIDES what you’re ACTUALLY seeing, but really….NOPE. What you’re seeing is exactly what they’re doing to succeed with affiliate marketing.
Read that again slowly.
I hope it makes sense now.
Oh…and they’re doing one more very important thing that NO ONE EVER mentions.
They’re spending a shit-ton of money on ADS. But like I said, no one ever mentions that.
I’ve only ever heard one YouTuber mention this ONE TIME.
She said (kind of in passing) that she spends about $2k a DAY on Facebook ads.
Two. Thousand. Dollars. A DAY. That’s thirty grand a month…MINIMUM.
Now…if you’re making good coin, two grand a day on ads is diddly. But to us mere mortals, two thousand dollars a day (or fourteen thousand a week) is insane!
But this is basically how they’re ALL doing it.
Affiliate website not getting traffic?
Buy some ads!
No one seeing your digital products? No sales?
Buy some ads!
No one wants to tell you that the way that they manage to ‘succeed’ with affiliate marketing (or just about any online ‘business’) is to simply drop a shit ton of cash on ADS.
You see, the world wide web has become so insanely over-populated with wealth seekers trying every single kind of hair-brained pitch, that no one knows which way is up anymore. Everyone has another ‘sure fire’ way to succeed with affiliate marketing.
But you have to buy their guide/ebook/course/one on one training to find out what that ‘sure fire’ way is. That product ain’t gonna be cheap. And I guarantee you that they’re not actually going to tell you exactly how they’re ‘succeeding’. More smoke and mirrors.
But now you know.
Do what they DO. NOT what they SAY.
